In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old man named Savad Sha was arrested by the Kerala Police after allegedly engaging in indecent behavior on a KSRTC bus. The arrest came following a complaint filed by Nandita Sankara, a woman who witnessed the act.
An actress and model, Nandita Sankara, also known as Mastani, revealed that the incident occurred on a KSRTC bus traveling from Thrissur to Nedumbassery. While seated next to Nandita, Savad Sha began inappropriately touching her and even resorted to masturbating. Outraged by his actions, Nandita quickly filmed the incident and confronted him in front of fellow passengers.
The bus conductor, K.K. Pradeep, came to Nandita’s aid and offered assistance. Upon her consent to file a complaint, Pradeep directed the driver to take the bus to the police station. Savad Sha initially denied the allegations and attempted to flee by pushing aside the conductor. However, with the bus driver’s and conductor’s coordinated efforts, he was apprehended and handed over to the Nedumbassery Police.
Savad Sha has been charged under IPC Section 354 for assault or criminal force against a woman intending to outrage her modesty.
Nandita’s courage and evidence shared on Instagram led to widespread support for her actions. Social media users commended her for confronting the perpetrator and ensuring his arrest. Furthermore, the bus conductor, Pradeep, received praise for his quick response and assistance during the incident.
