Aneethi is an upcoming thriller Tamil movie directed by Vasanthabalan and Arjun Das and Dushara are the lead cast.
Shankar has agreed to present Aneethi, starring Arjun Das and Dushara, written by his former assistant Vasantabalan, under his production banner. Intriguingly, Shankar produced the director’s 2006 film Veyyil, which won the National Film Award, the Tamil Nadu State Film Award, and the Filmfare Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. Aneethi appears to be a revenge drama based on the title teaser, with Arjun Das’s character fighting against injustice.
Arjun Chidambaram of Ponniyin Selvan fame plays the antagonist in this film, which also stars former Bigg Boss Tamil contestant Suresh Chakravarthi and renowned dancer Shanta Dhananjayan. While the latter actor portrays a retired headmistress in the film, the former had earlier told us that he has a “wonderful role” in the film.
GV Prakash Kumar scores the music for the film. The composer, who had also worked with the director on the music of Veyyil
